Silk Dupion

Silk Dupion is used for christening and bridal gowns due to its lustrous sheen.  It has a moderately crisp drape and a nubby texture. It is crisp to the touch and does not wrinkle badly or hold creases.

Coloured Silk Dupion is often used for loose fitting blouses, jackets, suits, skirts, dresses, bridal gowns and also for home decoration draperies.

Dupion is sometimes woven from two different colours of silk thread, so that it shimmers or changes colour in the light.

Garments made from Dupion should be dry cleaned only.
